Fancy Smancy Pretty Girl Apron

This is a two-part apron; you can wear it with the self-binding bib or attach it with the three flowered buttons.  The whole bib is made out of washable (in cold water always) cotton and organza decorating the two ties.  The buttons that attach the bib to the skirt are plastic buttons.  This item will be for sale in the Etsy Shop in a variety of cotton fabrics.. I found this beautiful knit fabric in GStreet I knew I had to have it! It was the last three yards on the blot so of course being the #SewingGoddess I am I purchased it all 😉 I self-drafted the high-wasted skirt, the top is a combination of two patterns and the pants are Burda.  The pants actually came out a bit larger in the front and would need more adjustment.. but below are the alterations created for all three..

Top is a combo of two patterns Vogue 8877 for the top portion and for the sleeves I used from dress pattern Butterick 5211.

Pants by Burda 7250 elastic in the bottom cuff versus the cuff of the original pattern.

Ladylike Suit – Peplum

Well after frustrating myself trying to take my own photos all I have are these stills without me wearing the clothes *sigh* anyhoo… This is a two piece suit made with Vogue 1132.. I made the vest initially seen here came out adorable and quite a few decided to purchase this unique vest. I decided I want to make the whole suite our of fabric from GStreet — a wool navy blue wide pinstripe.  I used the pants from a different pattern as I wanted a more straight leg pant.. No alterations to either pattern were made just added a single silver button.

Ready for Any Challenge!

How lovely is my client Karla in her high-waisted Army pants! These army pants have a striking bit of femininity with a high waist and back exposed zipper.  The pants also balloon at the bottom with a self-tie and can be worn for almost any occasion.. She accessorized with a cute crop top, peek-a-boo toe ankle boots and some simple jewelry!

She looks amazing do you agree?

Chanel Coat Inspiration

When I saw this Chanel Coat in the online fashion show I knew I had to have it or I knew I had to make one like it. I was more than sure the cost of this coat would be about $4,200 whew too rich for me.. However, when the collection was released, I couldn’t wait until I found out the REAL Price :-O

Umm yeah that will never happen unless I hit the $455 Million Dollar lottery currently going on! Heck that price can purchase the Bernina 560 I need, two student machines and fabric for my ready-to-wear.. anyway I digress.. here is my actual creation from this inspiration..

This is a beautiful 100% Wool Tweed from Mood Fabrics I purchased mine at the store in New York but there is a similar one Here.  I used Burda pattern 7020 with the following modifications:
Added 2″ to sleeve and added a fringed self fabric band
Added a waist casing for the leather belt
I obtained the leather belt (which is simply a leather tie by the yard) from ToHo Shoji Trimmings in New York along with the Swarovski Balls on the end of the leather tie.
I loved making this coat! My client was so amazed when she saw it and want to purchase it from me..lol

Chic Jumpsuit for a Chic Girl!

How lovely is my client who requested a custom jumpsuit in less than a week.  The great thing about creating this for her is she was open to creative design, she was willing to come to as many fittings as required and she was very easy to create and sew for! She knew exactly want she wanted and it came out lovely!
This is an all over scattered sequin stretch fabric jumpsuit with jogging pant style bottom and plunging neckline.  The self-made belt cinched at the waist although it was originally a tie and it has long sleeves with a princess shoulder seam! People fell in love with her and the design and I am happy she choose me to create it for her!
